Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute was awarded Science Leader Award 2016 from National Center for Scientific and Technical Information and Thomson Reuters, as the most cited scientific organization in Kazakhstan during 2011-2015.
On September 13, 2016, at 14:00, we have a lecture by Klim Ivanovich Churyumov, who will talk about the results of the Rosetta mission to the comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko, discovered in 1969 at Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute.
On July 20, at 11:30, we have a seminar by Bekdaulet Shukirgaliyev, where he will report on the progress of his PhD thesis at Astronomisches Rechen-Institute (Heidelberg). The seminar title is "Improving The Survival Likelihood Of Star Clusters After Instantaneous Gas Expulsion".
On May 27, at 11:00, we have a seminar by Dr. Nasridin Minikulov from the Astrophysical Institute (Dushanbe). He will talk about the photometry and polarimetry of UX Ori-type stars, and about the monitoring of space debris at Sanglok Observatory.
