Researchers from the National Observatory of China (Dr. Wu Kai, Dr. Li Shou, Prof. Spurzem Rainer) paid a working visit to the Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute to discuss joint research on numerical modeling using the FAI computing cluster.

From May 18 to 22, 2026, the annual "Silk Road AREA" conference, organized by New University, was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The conference brought together over 100 participants from various countries, including Kazakhstan. Speakers included staff from the Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute.

A ceremony was held to present medals "For Contribution to the Development of the Space Industry" from the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan to employees of the Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute: Saule Shomshekova and Maxim Makukov.
