A Memorandum of Cooperation in Computational Astrophysics was signed between the Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute and the Institute of Astronomy and Information Science at Dali University (China). The main goal of the Memorandum is to establish a joint international laboratory, the "Dali-Almaty International Joint Laboratory for Astronomy and Supercomputing," which other participants can join to conduct joint research and share computing resources.

An interview with FAI researcher Maxim Krugov about comet 3I/ATLAS

From November 11–13, 2025, the 7th Middle East and Africa Regional IAU Meeting (MEARIM7), titled “Advancing Space and Astronomy Sciences for a Sustainable Future,” was held in Amman, Jordan under the auspices of the International Astronomical Union. FAI was represented at the conference by Ch.T. Omarov, M.A. Krugov, and others. During the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of astronomy and astrophysics was concluded between the Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute and the University of Jordan.

After a long pause due to the pandemic, some kind of prostration and the search for reference points in the industry, the International Space Forum Space Days Kazakhstan has resumed its work. The event was held in Almaty at the beginning of last week. On the agenda: the prospects of Baikonur, the launch dates of the new launch vehicle and opportunities for young people.
